Scarpa Furia S

The Scarpa Furia S is built on the same last as the original Furia, but a few updates have been made to give it the ‘S’ (Soft) tag. Chiefly amongst these is the new Wave Closure System, which replaces the double velcro straps with a more streamlined single strap closure system. A new rand called the IPR-Tension also reduces excess material, without decreasing performance, to increase the sensitivity and overall flexibility of the shoe.

The Furia S features an aggressive design with a high asymmetry and downturned shape that will suit hard bouldering. The sole is 3.5 mm of Vibram XS Grip2 rubber, and the midsole is just 1 mm thick to achieve the highest possible level of sensitivity. This shoe is all about the ‘barefoot’ experience, meaning it will perform particularly well on anything with minuscule footholds.

– Furia S Upper: Multi-panel upper (7) with seamless big toe panel and offset four toe stitch for the best custom moulding fit. Wave strap system spreads the pressure across the upper and grants large volume adjustment. A high-stretch gusset allows easy entry.

– Furia S Midsole: Minimal Flexan 1.0mm midsole insert with floating big toe pad for ultimate sensitivity.

– IPR-Tension: IPR Active Randing System works with the SRT system to maintain the shape and tension of ultra soft shoes like Furia S. The IPR system helps reduce excess material and increase the overall sensitivity, precision, and adaptability of the shoe.

– Wave Closure System: The Wave shape strap closure system spreads the pressure evenly across the upper from the strap and buckles. It gives a glove-like fit with excellent flexibility for the foot during bouldering or climbing.
